Some of our customers in the Denmead/Waterlooville North area may be experiencing a cloudy or milky appearance to their water. The cause for this is the presence of air in the form of very minute bubbles giving the water a milky appearance. This normally happens when air has been introduced into the water supply, most likely due to a temporary change within the network. We would like to reassure our customers that while unsightly, this is completely harmless, and if the water is left standing it will clear after a short time. We apologise for any inconvenience this is causing and thank you for your patience whilst we work hard to remove the air. We are aware that some of our customers in the location above may be experiencing a loss of supply or low water pressure. This is due to a burst water main in Nelson Road, Portsmouth, PO1 4NE affecting the water pressures in the area. We have a team on site undertaking emergency repairs and are working hard to restore supplies as soon as possible.
